Before I give you my arsenal of really good Internet tools that I promise will help you to operate remotely, I want to alert you to one more item connected withself management and specifically to do with maintaining your focus and powers of concentration
I’ve uncovered and established a common habit in individuals who work online and I’ve been in contact with for quite a long time and I call this habit the 50 minute effect. I uncovered these acquaintances who concentrate and work for fifty minutes and then kick back for a whole 10 minute rest and are considerably more productive and produce a considerably higher quality of work than contacts who don’t have well organised working practises.

Google Mail won’t cost you a penny. My friends and I all agree the search and label (similar to folders) features are the best implementation I have encountered. The only disadvantage so far is that I have seen it run quite slowly on lower spec.computers
Phone calls
Skype used to infuriate me as the connection performance was unacceptable, but all credit to the geeks at Skype now as they have considerably refined the quality of the service. For just a few bucks a month ! am able to call and conference in any phone and Skype subscriber on the planet. The current version of Skype has a wealth of very useful features and there is an ever growing list of useful add ons.
Organising Content
Evernote has acquired more than a million users in no time at all – it lets you to store, organise and add notes to any type of digital content on the web. Just go check it out…it’s free.
Invoicing, Time and Expenses capture, Accounting and CRM
You almost certainly know that my dream to work remotely was originally sparked off by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software web application. But it is no match for the free edition of salesorder.com – a lead to cash system that’s as easy to use as a pc mouse I looked at NetSuite whose pricing (and people) scared me off.
