3 Essential Components For Creating A Successful Network Marketer
“It didn’t work for me.” How many times have those words been expressed from budding entrepreneurs who quit their network marketing business and tried others or quit altogether? They say failure is a part of success, but how can we minimize the degree of failure before success arrives?
After years of experience in the network marketing industry, I believe there are 3 essential components for creating a successful network marketer. They are
- Instruction
- Reinforcement
- Results
All of these components intertwine and need to be occurring at all times if you want someone to stay in business long enough to be emotionally and intellectually committed to it. No component is more important than the others. All must work together synergistically.
#1 Instruction (aka Training or System)
Probably 99% of the people who begin a network marketing business have never started a business. The working process is completely foreign to them and they don’t have the knowledge to go from A to Z. Most likely every job they’ve held had training and supervision. Why should this business be any different!
Probably the best method to instruct network marketers is to implement a training curriculum just like the school system: Grades 1 thru 9, Freshman, Junior, and Senior. If First Grade includes teaching a new recruit the history of network marketing, then a Senior may be a top company producer who has direct consultation with the CEO of their network marketing company.
Desire or Determination is not a substitute for Instruction. Every 15 year old desires and is determined to get behind the wheel of a car. Their experience is likely to be more favorable if they’ve been trained.
#2 Reinforcement (Yes you can)
Negativity is one of the core rods that fuel our society. If you stop, look, and listen to the world around you, it seems like a million waves of negative rays are constantly bombarding your consciousness. Without positive reinforcement, it may be a foregone conclusion a new distributor will quit if they experience too much negativity.
Michael Jackson, an entertainment icon to millions, said in an audio interview his accomplishments were mainly to gain the love and affection he never received from his father. People quit just as easily if there’s no praise and encouragement.
Technologies like social media, email, and teleconference calls are efficient methods, but there’s nothing like personal interaction. A phone call, pot luck dinner, handwritten letter, and company convention go a long way to emotionally cement a network marketer’s journey to success.
#3 Results (Show me the money)
A unicycle is not a bicycle and a bicycle is not a tricycle. The song “Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad” is bad because without Results a network marketer will quit!
As a network marketer goes through their school system, there must be a result of equal proportion that produces a commission check. There are some distributors who stay with network marketing for recognition, but everyone else is expecting to create an income. You can never tell what energizes a person. An enrollment their first month, a commission check for $300, or an advancement to the next leadership level.
No doubt there are additional components for creating a successful network marketer. I know it’s not an absolute, but when someone enters this industry and is able to experience the 3 essential components, they will succeed.

We drop by a bar and order a coffee. I asked him what happen to him and whether he ran into some kind of trouble? He turned around and look real surprise. Then he burst out into laughter and ask why did I thought so. He then went on to tell me that he is doing alright. He has got a job – a work from home opportunity. He was retrenched from his company 7 months ago but he found a make money at home online opportunity after that.He seem to know that I do not really understand him. So he went on to tell me that he gets paid to take survey.I got really lost.
He explained that there are companies who go around asking for people for their frank opinion on products that these companies may be launching in near future. In return, the companies pay them for their honest feedback. The whole survey can last as short as as 15 minutes, or it could require you to go to a room, and together with other people, take the survey. And of course the longer the survey take the more you are paid. The money is not fantastic, but with quantity, you can be earning a decent amount of money that help to cover all your household bills.

Motivation or Enthusiasm? Which Do Employees Possess?
Is Motivation Really Motivation
We are all born into this world with motivation. It’s embedded within us. In fact, all of us have our own unique style of motivation and are driven by it each day. However, pop-psychology with the complicit sales training industry has taken it upon themselves to decide what is and what is not motivation, all of which is based upon biased research. We’ve all paid a price for the confusion, but employees and their managers more so. The reason, managers expect that these emotional seminars to create long term life changes within their employees. Seminars like these are costly and only make a difference in the short term. What they have done is confused enthusiasm for motivation. What is enthusiasm?
Enthusiasm is defined as rapturous intensity, explosive eagerness; intense conviction or worthiness, zeal or fervor. It is a temporary emotion. Temporary in the sense that it can only be sustained for a brief period of time until it is either replaced by another emotion or a sustained feeling. (See the article: “The Difference Between Emotions and Feelings” for more info.) Ponder how long you could really sustain the act of laughing or crying? How long can you cry? How long can you sustain being excited or thrilled?
That is why you can go to any number of so called “motivational seminars” get really “pumped” only to have that enthusiasm and energy fade away after just a few days. What you truly experience at such seminars is a form of social hysteria, albeit in a positive form but nevertheless very transient.”Enthusiasm Seminars” would be the correct name for these types of events.
Employee Motivation
In the work place, motivation becomes a subject of discord and confusion. It often begins the gross profit numbers. Companies usually look internally for the cause of the decrease in profits. Upper management gets pressured and pressures middle management who then pressures lower management who in turn pressures employees to “Get Motivated!”.The solution is usually a motivational seminar, workshop, or other program to get everyone fired up and back up to peak performance.
Thus, motivation gets treated as if it were a skill one can learn(See the article: “What is Motivation” for a more in depth discussion of true motivation). With such training however a process of failure begins, littered with stress, confusion and self-sabotage. “Motivational (Enthusiasm) Seminars” only have temporary effects. Enuthisam can be sustained for only so long. Your enthusiasm will eventually diminish. When this occurs you’ll generally ask yourself: “What’s wrong with me?Stress can be the result of a buildup of doubt and lack of confidence. Does this sound familiar to you? Understand that there is nothing wrong with you and there is nothing to fix. You are actually behaving within normal expectations. The complication rest with our cultures inaccurate view of what motivation really is. Motivation will never be a learned skill. It is naturally present. It is the expression of your state of “being”. Raw motivation is what drives you to get out of bed each morning. It’s a deep seated, propelling need to express your unique existence to the world.
People who teach motivation as a “learned skill of doing” de3omonstrates a misunderstanding of the basic function of motivation. This is the reason why so many people are confused about motivation and why pop-psychology continues to design inherently flawed testing methods, books, seminars, and workshops which sadly point people down the wrong path. Having said that, some people will still find value in these materials but usually as a catalyst unique to them.
Westernized cultures (Particularly Americans), live in a capitalistic society that cannot afford to define motivation as simply a state of “being”. That is why Motivational Gurus, do not use Mother Teresa as an example of what it means to be motivated even though she is a fine example of natural, authentic motivation. From their perspective, there is simply no profit to be had in using her as an example of what it truly means to be motivated.
The Ultimate Answer to Employee Motivation in the Workplace
The solution to employee motivation in the workplace is natural and always effective. Simply put, if you enjoy what you do for work, there is no need to seek out motivation because it is already present. If any professional feels the need to attend a “Motivational Seminar,” they should seriously consider another profession. Imagine for a moment that your surgeon is running late to your pre-surgery consultation because he or she has yet to return from a “motivational seminar”. How might you feel? What might you choose to do? Would you still go under the knife~Would you still go through with the surgery with this person at the helm}?
Motivation comes naturally to each of us from a deep level within. No one needs to “Go Out” and discover their motivation. Your motivation is not somewhere out there, it’s intrinsic, It’s within you. Why do carpenters, plumbers, electricians, computer technicians, doctors, and in fact most professionals do not have a hopeless need to go to motivational seminars in order to get fired up to do their job.
The real secret to all this, is to discover the exact style of motivation you already posses. We call this “Your Life Theme“.
